Mountainside LocalSource FOND FAREWELL

Watchung Stable’s hardworking school horse, Seven, pictured with a group of Watchung Stable troopers, is retiring after 11 years of service to Watchung Stable and its riding students. Seven has taught hundreds of children and adults how to ride and was turned over to the School Horses of Watchung program at the annual Spring Troop Horse Show on May 30. MOUNTAINSIDE — School officials are on the hunt for a new board member following the unexpected resignation of Jorge Batista in the middle of his first term.
District Superintendent Jeanette Baubles said she understands Batista’s June 9 resignation was a result of his impending move out of the borough.

High School Sports GL softball team's season comes to an end after falling to Overbrook in Group 2 semifinals; Highlanders had much success, with 24-5 finish

Although the Governor Livingston softball team fell one game shy of playing in a second Group 2 state championship game in four years, the Highlanders still produced a highly-successful season.
